  1. Place garlic all cloves in the bowl and peel by -10 sec, Speed 4 reverse
  2. Remove garlic skin leave 3 cloves and reserve the rest, add ginger -10 sec Speed 5
  3. Now add lemon juice, yogurt (125 g), 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp paprika to the bowl along with chicken cut into bite-sized portions and mix by -10 sec, Speed 1 reverse and reserve.note: keep in the fridge for 2 hours or preferably over night 
  4. Use skewers and make chicken kebabs and grill in the oven for about 5 minutes each side.
  5. Put in the Thermomix bowl the onion, 4 garlic cloves and ginger -10 sec, Speed 4
  6. Now add 1 tbsp of oil  (we used coconut oil, but olive or rapeseed would do as well) -5 min, Temp 100, Speed 1.
  7. Add all the spices (1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp garam masala, ½ tsp salt-2 min, Temp 100, Speed 1.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of tomato pure and 400g of crushed tomatoes -10 min, Temp 100, Speed 2.
  9. Add 150 g of water and the same amount of cream -5 min, Temp 100, Speed 2.
  10. To make the sauce smoother -10 sec Speed 7 taste and add more salt if needed.
  11. Finally Incorporate the reserved chicken -5 min, Temp 100, Speed 1 reverse.note: serve over rice and accompanied with nan bread.
